Wendy van Ierschot's story

In 2002, I started my own company. I thought it was important to have a company with people that I also want to have a Christmas dinner with. I wanted to do the right things and bring the Ferrari of People & Culture solutions to SMEs. Energetic and positive, no rules and hassles. This is what I'm still striving for. No longer alone, but with 3 companies in different regions. With people who share this passion and want to make the world a better place. The Ferrari continues to symbolize the quality we deliver and red is and remains our color. Although, as B Corp, we are of course much more sustainable than Ferrari.

In 2023, I wrote down the lessons I learned in building my own business as well as working for more than 500 scale-ups in my book Scale-ups & downs.

Wendy van Ierschot's story

My first job was at Shell, a dream employer at the time. I thought I was going to work with the best people in an environment where learning comes first. But the reality was different than I thought. Although I am sure, even though I resigned after almost 7 years, that Shell is a top employer if you want to work for a large company. Big business was simply not for me. Too viscous, too much politics, too little really focused on content, too little focused on innovation, collaboration and really making the world a better place.

In 2002, I started my own company. I thought it was important to have a fun company, with nice people that I also want to have a Christmas dinner with. I wanted to be busy doing the right things. For years, that has been my motivation for my company. Bringing the Ferrari of People & Culture solutions to SMEs. Get to work energetically and positively, no rules and hassles. Otherwise, I “might as well have stayed with Shell”. A corporate can afford a lot. I wanted to make that available to smaller companies that are the drivers of innovation and our economy. That was my goal and this is what we are still doing. No longer alone, but with more than 40 people spread across 3 regions. People who all share this passion with me and want to make the world a better place with our work. The Ferrari continues to symbolize the quality we deliver and red is and remains our color, although, as B Corp, we are of course much more sustainable than Ferrari.
