The DBA Act (Deregulation of Assessment of Employment Relationships) regulates when someone can work as a self-employed person and when an employment relationship exists. If you hire a freelancer who actually functions as an employee, as a client, you run the risk of fines and additional tax assessments. Because our professionals are on VIE People's payroll, you won't have to worry about that. You are fully compliant, without having to give it a second thought.
